Question

Exim built with Perl support exits with several error messages of the form undefined reference to `PL_stack_sp.

Answer

This has been seen on FreeBSD systems that had two different versions of Perl installed, the older with an a.out library and the newer with an ELF library. Ensure that the older package is removed.
